CSFBdirect lays off 180 people

CSFBdirect, the subsidiary Securities sector of Credit Suisse First Boston, said it planned to cut down 180 people, which accounted for 14% of its working staff in the USA. 

The company has laid off about 500 people this year and the latest laying off might save US$22 mln each year.

On the other hand, the salary of the 54000 senior administrative people of Credit Suisse First Boston will not be upgraded.
