Share sales of Sydney Airport enters second phase

Australia Finance Minister John Fahey said that the government had conducted the first-round selection among the bidders for shares sales of Sydney Airport and relevant plan entered the second phase, while related transaction may be made in the second half of this year. He did not reveal who were on the shortlist. The finalists can submit bidding letters within 6 weeks and the winner will be approved to build the second major airport in the country. Cheung Kong Infrastructure (1038) was among the financial institutions which showed interest in it. It was rumored to team up with Hasting Fund Management and AMP LTD for the bidding.
