Japan PCCW: no agreement on acquisition of Interplay Entertainment

Japan PCCW CEO Todd Bonner said that the company showed intense interest in game softwares but has not yet clinched any acquisition agreement for the time being.



PCCW (0008) planned to acquire Interplay Entertainment, one of the five largest game software developers in US, to enhance its strength in the field and make preparation for the soon-to-be-launched broadband multi-media business, Sin Tao Daily reported. The deal is believed to exceed HK$800 mln.
