HKEx considers introduction of high-rate notes and introduction of market maker

Kwong Ki Chi, Executive Director of Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing (0388), said HKEx is considering the listing of high-rate notes to increase market turnover. But he pointed out that there is no concrete arrangement and timetable for it at present, and regulatory system and data disclosure should also be taken into consideration.

In addition, Kwong also said HKEx is also studying the feasibility of introduction of market maker system for call warrants and will take foreign practice as reference and consult opinion of the market.
