JV of Brilliance China Automotive and BMW to manufacture BMW 3 and 5 series

JV of Brilliance China Automotive and BMW expects to secure approval this yr

China Daily cited Gunther Seemann, head of BMW's China operations, as saying that the JV plan with Brilliance China Automotive (1114) is awaiting Chinese Government's approval and   is expected to be approved in the year or at the beginning of the year.



Seemann did not give a specific timetable for the project and did not reveal which models would be produced in China. 

But sources close to the two companies have said the JV would manufacture BMW 3 and 5 series cars with a price range of between 400,000 and 600,000 yuan (US$48,190 to US$72,280).
