BNP downgrades Bank of East Asia profit forecast by 5.3% to HK$2.5 bln

BNP stated that as it was too optimistic with Bank of East Asia (0023) in the 
past, it decided to downgrade the profit forecast of the company this year by 
5.3% from HK$2.641 bln to HK$2.5 bln and downgraded its profit forecast in 2002
