Liang Dingbang: confident that red-chip companies can issue depository receipt i

China Securities Regulatory Commission Chief Consultant Liang Dingbang said that it is in the initial phase that red-chip companies will get listed in mainland markets through the method of issuing depository receipt and it is just a matter of time that the method will be carried soon.

He said that a special team is studying relevant issues about the move, but it did not prove that everything was ok.

Liang further pointed out that some technical and legal problems about the depository receipt should be solved first but a complete result is sure to come out soon.

China Mobile (0941) and China Unicom (0762) both expressed hopes that depository receipt can be issued in the mainland.
