Mobile One bidding price lower than those of RWC and Maxis

It was reported by sources that Mobile One was not active in bidding and till now only Malaysia Maxis and Regional Wireless Co, which was jointly formed by PCCW (0008) and Telstra, left to bid for it. It was said that the bidding price of the two was about US$1.2 bln(circa HK$9.36 bln).

The four shareholders of Mobile One intended to sell all the shareholding of the company, but stressed that they would sell the shares only when the price was attractive. PCCW and Cable & Wireless respectively held 15% shareholding of Mobile One.  Mobile One bidding price lower than those of RWC and Maxis
