SIA expects semi-conductor market to revive in second-half of the year

SIA forecasted that after experiencing a large-scale retreating, the global semi-conductor market was expected to revive in the second-half of the year and even to increase next year with up range of 20% and 25% in 2003. 

Apart from this, SIA also estimated the semi-conductor market this year would wither by 14%, lower than 16.5% in 1985. However, some analysts thought the increasing volatility of the semi-conductor companies revenue might be bigger than that of 1985.
