Long Yongtu confirms China will reduce Japanese auto import

Long Yongtu, vice minister of Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation, affirmed that China would diminish Japanese auto import to respond to the countryˇ¦s imposing ˇ§urgent restrictive importˇ¨ on three agricultural products exported from China. Whether China will remove the restriction will depend on Japanˇ¦s next move.

It is pointed out that the import of Japanese autos will be cut by half. The imported Japan-made autos stood at 47,000 units last year.
