Thomson Multimedia acquires DSL at 456 mln euros

French Thomson Multimedia (TM) acquired DSL under Alcatel at 456 mln euros. TM would issue 9.5 mln new shares to Alcatel at 48 euros each, which represented 4% premium of the closing price on Wednesday, and said that it would carry out its expansion strategy through acquisition.

Alcatel increased its shares in TM to 9.6% after the deal.
