US new unemployment relief applicants hit 8-and-a-half-year new high

US announced that during the one week ended last Saturday the unemployment relief applicants hit 432,000, an 8-and-a-half-year new high and up 13,300 persons over the previous week. Analysts pointed out that current economic growth depended largely on individual consumption, and the reduction in jobs would hurt the consumption desire, so a recovery was unlikely in the second half of this year.
