Antony Leung expects HK government faces deficit in 2 years

Financial Secretary Antony Leung estimated that the Hong Kong government would face deficit in the following two years, and pointed out that introduction of new taxes would be unlikely feasible politically. He refused to make comment when asked whether the Hong Kong government would face deficit for consecutive 4 years ran counter to the principle of ˇ§make both ends meetˇ¨. He pointed out that introduction of new taxes were advisable during the economic recession.
