New Telecom encourages mobile phone subscribers to use IDD
New telecom, subsidiary of Wharf (0004), announced to launch IDD cash-return plan to take action against its opponent City Telecom (1137). New telecom said IDD mobile phone subscribers that have registered in the company can not only make a long distance call to US without pay at preferential time, but also get HK$0.07 per minutes at the same time. The preferential period will be three months to September 21. New Telecom estimated the cash-return plan will increase anther HK$1.4mln to HK$1.5mln expenditures each month.
