Cathay first 4-month number of passengers drops due to global economy slowdown

Cathay Pacific Airways (0293) chairman James Hughes-Hallett said slowdown of global economy led to a drop in the number of passengers in the 1st four months. He stressed that 10% increase in passenger load of airplane also spelt influence on passenger load rate and He admitted that the decrease in the number of passengers imposed certain pressure on profit.
