Nasdaq Index drops 2% over profit worries

The US stocks continued to undergo adjustment pressure, which was attributed to the earnings warnings from technological companies. The earnings warnings made the investors lose confidence and thus dragged the broad market slide. The Nasdaq Index slumped 44.32 pts, or 2% to close at 2170.78 pts and Dow Jones Industrial Average Index also dropped 54.91 pts, or 0.5% to close at 10922.09 pts.
