Netease announces high-profile resignation

Netease announced that the CEO Li Jinghui and COO Chen Suzhen had resigned for personal reasons and the founder and President Ding Lei took over the two posts temporarily. 

As early as last Thursday, it was rumored that their resignation was related to the acquisition by the I-Cable Communications (1097), which was denied by the two.

I-Cable Communications confirmed the acquisition yesterday but said that no agreement had yet been reached.
