Japan stocks slump almost 400 pts in late market

The Nikkei Average Index closed at 12840.10 pts, down 386.38 pts, or 2.92%. The adjustment of the Tech stocks and the earnings warnings of some wafer companies, such as NEC and Rohm, adding the soft Nasdaq weighed down the broad market to slump sharply and meanwhile dragged down the related stocks, thus made the Nikkei Index close at nearly the lowest level of the day.
