British Telecom and Deutsche Telecom share 3G networks to save 4 bln euros
British Telecom and Deutsche Telecom agreed to share the 3G mobile networks in the two countries, a move that can save an investment expense up to 4 bln euros (around US$2.5 bln). British Telecom estimated that the plan can save 2-bln-euro capital expense in the following 10 years while Deutsche Telecom also said that 30% capital would be saved in the network development. Deutsche Telecom spent 5 bln euros and 4 bln euros respectively on the networks in Germany and UK in the past years.
