ICG Asia confirms talks with Hutchison Whampoa on share controlling

ICG Asia (0715) declared that its major shareholder Internet Capital Group Inc. was in talks with another major shareholder Hutchison Whampoa Ltd (0013) on the sale of share controlling, but no agreement has yet been reached for the time being. 

ICG holds 53.8% of ICG Asia while Hutchison Whampoa controls 13.4%. It was once rumored that ICG planned to sell shares in ICG Asia to Hutchison Whampoa and the latter would inject the online financing business into ICG.
