US May production price index up 0.1%

The US Department of Labor announced that the May production price index edged up 0.1%, lower than the market expectation of 0.3%, and deducting the food and energy, the core index gained 0.2%, indicating a modest inflaction. The energy price added another 2% after a rise of 1% in April, while the food price dropped for the first time in 5 months and lost 4%.
