K C Kwong:good idea for foreign companies to issue depository receipts in HK

Referring to the proposals for foreign companies to issue depository receipts in Hong Kong, K C Kwong, CEO of Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing (0388), thought it was a good idea, claiming that HKEx would consider offering more new instruments for the investors to choose. Regarding the red chips companies issuing CDR in China mainland, Mr Kuang said no details were available for the time being.
