Solectron Q3 loses US$185.7 mln and plans to lay off 12,600 people

It was reported by foreign sources that Solectron, the biggest electron manufacturer in the world announced its Q3 loss ended to June 1 to be US$185.7 mln with per share loss of US$0.28, while it gained US$119.7 mln in the same period of last year with per share profit of HK$0.19. The company announced to lay off 12,600 people in this quarter. After the news was released, the stock slumped 12% in the extended trading period.
