Cathay Pacific Airways refuses to increase 32% salary for pilots

Tony Tyler, director of Enterprise Developing Department in Cathay Pacific Airways (0293), said when interviewed by CNN that he anticipated Hong Kong Pilots Union would approve the proposal of taking the industrial action today, but he reiterated that the company had no intention to increase the salary of the pilots by 32% just as some of the pilots demanded. 

He also added that the suggestion proposed by the company was extremely generous.
