CNOOC likely to exploit overseas natural gas through LNG project

Ming Pao Daily cited spokesman of China National Offshore Oil Corporation (0883) as saying that the group might have opportunities to participate in exploitation plan of overseas natural gas fields

The spokesman said as the mainland demand on natural gas far exceeds supply, Guangzhou LNG project must seek partial natural gas from overseas providers. The group can take the opportunity to increase assets in overseas natural gas field.
