China Unicom May mobile phone users reach 18.46mln

Yang Xian Zu, chairman of China Unicom (0762), said the mobile phone users reached 18.46mln in May and market occupancy rate was improved further. Mainland long-distance call business and internet business all recorded sharp growth. At the end of last year, the company had only 12.77mln users with 27% market occupancy rate.
