Asia Financial predicts banking business still in hot water in second half year

Asia Financial Holdings (0662) chairman Robin Y H Chan said that the overall banking operation environment remained poor and the bank was also affected by various negative factors. He predicted that the operation environment in the second half of the year would not be improved and believed that China¡¦s WTO entry would usher in many business opportunities to the banking and insurance industries in Hong Kong.
