David Li has interest in acquiring HKCB Bank

David Li, chairman and CEO of Bank of East Asia (0023), said the bank has interest in acquiring HKCB Bank (0655) but it depends on the cost of selling. He added DBS took over Dao Heng Bank at three times against nominal value and He believed that the lowest selling price of other banks will be two times against nominal value. He also said acquisition will related to writing-off goodwill. So the bank will consider the problem seriously.
