Peaktop says it is affected by slowing US economy

Peaktop International (0925) chairman and CEO Lin Chun Kuei said at the shareholder meeting that the business of the company would be affected by the slumping US economy but the turnover in the second half of this year would be improved over the first half.

Expect the US market, the company also has business presence in other markets with relatively high profit and lower turnover. Therefore, the company still focused on the US market which accounted for nearly 70% of the total turnover in the company. Besides, he said that the candle products would make contribution to the profit and enjoy rosier outlook than other products.

He further pointed out that the company has sufficient cash in hand and financing is not required for the time being.
