Negotiation between Cathay Pacific and pilots breaks

The negotiation between Cathay Pacific Airways (0293) and the pilots broke. The pilots union said that it would continue to negotiate with the management, while Cathay Pacific Airways claimed that it has prepared itself for the worst results.

The labor and capital sides had conducted six negotiations. The union put forward the suggestion that the salary should be increased by 32% while the company only insisted on a growth of 1-9%.

The pilots would take limited industrial action from July 1 if the two sides fail to reach an agreement.
