PCCW announces to lay off 340 people, effective from August 20

PCCW (0008) announced to lay off 340 people, effective from August 20. The affected working staff mainly belonged to the Internet business department and they received the letters today.  

PCCE stressed that at the same time of carrying out the new business increase strategies, the company tried its best to reduce the number of affected working staff by adjusting their positions.
