Vodafone has to increase stake in China Mobile through new-share subscription

China Mobile (0941) once said in April that Vodafone, the strategic investor, has intention to increase stake in China Mobile from 2.2% to 15-20% after the entry of WTO. It is expected that stake increase action will be carried out step by step. China Mobile has confirmed that parent has no intention to dispose of stake in China Mobile. This means that Vodafone will have to increase stake of China Mobile through new-share subscription.
