If HK Telephone Company issues US$3800mln bonds,enough to pay off debts of PCCW

According to informed sources that Hong Kong Telephone Company preliminarily plans to issue US$2500mln bonds with the term of 10 years and 30 years for paying off debts. Price and rate of the bonds are not settled yet. The source cited the management team of PCCW as saying that if the bond issuing could hit US$3800mln, it will be enough to pay off the debts of PCCW. In additional, PCCW will conducted market promotion in UK and US this week.
