Decreasing stamp duty on shares to 0.2% approved

The Legislative Council has passed the proposal on decreasing stamp duty on shares and increasing charges on trading this morning with effect on September 1. Stamp duty will be decreased from 0.225% to 0.2% and charges on trading will be increase by 0.002%.
