First Boston expects BJ hosting Olympics to show effect in 5-7 years

One of the directors of Credit Suisse First Boston said that if Beijing could successfully gain the honor of hosting Olympics, the positive effect would be seen in 5-7 years, while its impact over Hong Kong was hard to be anticipated. On the other hand, if China could successfully enter WTO at the end of this year of at the beginning of next year, it would be beneficial for the overseas direct investment and the reform of state-owned enterprises.
