Mobile and Internet users up 37% and 46% in China in first half

The Ministry of Information Industry released the total income of telecom sector in the first half of this year and also declared that the telephone users in Mainland China added 51.672 mln to 281 mln, a rise of 22.53%. Among the 281 mln users, the number of fixed-network users jumped 14.03%, or 20.177 mln to hit 164 mln, accounting for 58.36, while the mobile subscribers increased 31.495 mln, or 36.83% to 117 mln. The Internet registered users rose 3.951 mln, or 46.38% to 12.469 mln.
