Cheung Kong sets up 1st solely foreign-owned net in mainland

According to mainland report, GlobeFinance.net, controlled by Cheung Kong (0001), was opened yesterday in Beijing. This is the first solely foreign-owned net in mainland. At present Cheung Kong has invested HK$120mln in two batches. With several financial platforms, GlobeFinance.net takes mainland enterprises as clients to provide financial and economic information services, data inquiry, online investment and financing services and other value-add services including plan and guidance for listing, online financial training, ect.
