HKCB Bank clarifies to have no talks of merger

HKCB Bank Holding (0655) clarified in the morning that some reports, which claimed the bank failed to make merger and would distribute special dividend, were untrue and the bank reiterated that several third parties had consecutively contacted with the bank and its leading shareholders Lippo (0226) and China Resources Enterprises (0291), hoping to seek for the cooperation chances. However, HKCB Bank Holding and its leading shareholders had not had any talks of merger with the third parties, nor had they had plans to distribute special dividend till now, noted HKCB Bank.
