CIRC claims insurance companies to get listed in short term

Ma Yonglong, chairman of China Insurance Regulatory Commission, said the commission encouraged qualified insurance companies to get listed and it was now in talks with these companies. Moreover, Mr Ma believed that there would be insurance companies to get listed in the near future. In Mr Ma¡¦s opinion, the goals of listing insurance companies were not only for financing, but also to change the current situation that the shareholding was held by the state and if the insurance companies became listed companies, the supervision would be strengthened and criterion would be carried out better.
