Disney acquires Fox Family Worldwide from News Corp. at US$5.3 bln

Disney confirmed that it acquired Fox Family Worldwide under News Corp. at a price of US$5.3 bln and the deal is expected to be completed in 3-4 months. Disney will pay US$3 bln in cash and shoulder the debt about US$2.3 bln from Fox Family Worldwide. Disney also required 76% shareholding of Fox Kids Europe. Disney shed 12 US cents, or 0.44% to close at US$26.88.
