Infineon rumored to cut off 5000 jobs
According to German Labor Union, Infineon, the second largest chip manufacturer and subsidiary of Siemens, plans to cut off 5000 jobs, which accounts for 15% of its workforce. Spokesman of the Union said high-level management team will hold meeting on next Wednesday and is seeking approval from board meeting. Infineon declined to make any comment on the relevant reports.
