S&P downgrades long-term credit rating of Taiwan to AA; outlook negative

Standard & Poor announced to downgrade long-term credit rating of Taiwan from AA+ to AA while short-term one is maintained at A1+ and outlook is negative. S&P also pointed out if local financial situation deteriorates continuously, the rating will be further downward adjusted.
