Bank of East Asia expects to finalize merger with First Pacific Bank in next Q2

Bank of East Asia (0023) said that the merger with the First Pacific Bank was progressing smoothly and the company is expected to complete the whole merger in the second quarter of next year, adding that the new organizational structure for the merger of United Chinese Bank (HK) and First Pacific Bank has been drawn up. By the end of June, Bank of East Asia (0023) has a staff of 5108 including 4131 employees in Hong Kong. The bank has employed HR consultants to coordinate the ranking, title and welfare systems of the employees in the three banks. The relevant work will be completed in the third quarter this year.
