Hutchison Whampoa reported in talks on acquiring mobile phone company in Malaysi

According to Sun, a Malaysian newspaper, Hutchison Whampoa (0013) will team up Sapura, a Malaysian company to acquire shareholding of a local mobile phone company. Time Dotcom is believed to be the company. Khazanah Nasional Bhd, major shareholder of Time Dotcom, should dispose of shareholding to a foreign-fund company before March 2002.
