Salomon and Goldman Sachs downgrades profit forecast of Bank of East Asia

Both Salomon Smith Barney and Goldman Sachs downgraded profit forecast of Bank of East Asia (0023). Salomon Smith Barney downgraded profit forecast of this year and next year by 6% and 11% to HK$2.149bln and HK$2.185bln(HK$1.506 each and HK$1.528 each) respectively. Goldman Sachs downgraded profit forecast of this year and next year by 3% and 6% to HK$2.091bln and HK$2.47bln (HK$1.45 each and by 6% to HK$1.66) respectively.
