Profit of key enterprises up 20% in 1st half year while 80% from 16 enterp

A report of PRC State Economic and Trade Commission pointed out that after sharp growth in profit last year, the growth of total profit of 513 key enterprises in 1st half year will be slowed down by 20.1%. Among total profit of RMB 119.84bln, 79% come from 16 enterprises. The report also states that energy, petrol-chemical, textile, chemical and traffic industries all recorded downward growth in profit. 99 enterprises made loss in the first half of the year.
