US increased factory orders drop 2.4% in June

The US Department of Commerce announced that after the seasonal adjustment, the increased factory orders in June valued US$334.55 bln, dropping 2.4% vs that in May, higher than the expected 1.2%, indicating the manufacturing industry was still gloomy. The increased factory orders in May enjoyed an up range of 2.2%. The newly increased orders decreased was mainly due to the reduction of the vehicles orders. The vehicles accounted for the largest proportion in the products of the US factories. The increased orders in June were 3.3% less than that in May.
