Legend loses its locomotive position in domestic portable computer market

IBM took the firs position in the portable computer market of China in Q1 with 22.4% market share, while Legend Holdings retreated to the second position. Some foreign brands, such as IBM, Dell began to nibble the market share previously occupied by Legend and Founder and other domestic brands last year. Yang Yuanqing, president of Legend, said the slow-down of the global computer sales forced the foreign brands to develop the market in China. Plus, Legend was in the period of internal personals structure adjustment and the managers of the notebook computers business department were also adjusted. Accordingly, the rivals could get chances to enter in.
