JP Morgan lowers Asia emerging market economy growth forecast to 1.3%
JP Morgan lowered the economy growth forecast of Asia emerging market (excluding China and India) this year from the formerly anticipated 2.1% to 1.3%, in response to the deteriorating global economy outlook, especially the further lackluster of US capital expenditure outlook, which lagged the Asian economy behind. The fund house noted the substantial economy growth of Asia emerging market withered 0.3% in Q2 vs that in Q1 and the economy growth was expected to shrink 0.5% in Q3 and begin to revive in Q4. The fund house formerly anticipated the Asia emerging market could revive in Q3.
