US retail shares profit drops for two consecutive quarters
The expenditure of the consumers on all of the commodities decreased and the US retail shares profit dropped for two consecutive quarters. According to the estimation of Thomson Financial, the Q2 profit of clothes chains reduced 27%, higher than the 21% in Q1, and the Q2 profit of large-scale department stores decreased about 1%. Some analysts pointed out that the outlook of US retail business in Q3 and Q4 should be comparatively better, while it was only because the cardinal number of last year was low, not indicating the revival of the local retail business. The real revival might be postponed till later time of next year. Moreover, the market anticipated the profit of the discount shops and the department stores would ascend 19% and the net profit of the clothes chains would only increase 9%.
